The Elgin Mount Pandim
A heritage hotel on the ridge just below Pemayangtse monastery, facing Kangchenjunga and Mount Pandim. Gardens, period-style rooms and a quiet setting away from Pelling's busier hotel strip make it the town's classic stay.
The Elgin Mount Pandim stands on a forested ridge below Pemayangtse, a short drive from Pelling's centre, with gardens looking across to Kangchenjunga and Pandim, the peak that gives it its name. The building has a heritage feel with traditional decoration, and it is run by Elgin Hotels.
Its location lets you walk to Pemayangtse and the Rabdentse ruins, and it is quieter than the hotels in upper Pelling. Meals are usually included. Book mountain-view rooms well ahead for October to December, and confirm current rates directly.
