Kashmir in September
September is one of our favourite months. Skies clear, crowds drop after the yatra, hotel rates soften, and apple orchards around Sopore and Shopian are being harvested. Gurez is golden and the Razdan Pass is still open. Treks remain open until about mid-month in the high lakes. Nights start to bite above 2,500 m.
