Its 18 rooms are in stone cottages with private verandas looking at the valley or the mountains, furnished with Tibetan hand-woven carpets and local crafts.
There is an infinity pool facing the peaks, a main lodge with Nepali and continental food, and gardens that supply part of the kitchen. Walks start from the door, through villages and forest on the ridge. It is a place to rest before or after a trek, or to see the mountains at dawn from bed.

Pokhara
Pokhara is Nepal's second city and the base for the Annapurna region, at about 800 m beside Phewa Lake, 200 km west of Kathmandu. Machapuchare, the 6,993 m Fishtail, rises straight behind it. Come for lake boats, Sarangkot sunrise, paragliding and the start of the Poon Hill, Ghandruk and Jomsom routes.
