Taxis wait near Bomdila's market. A private taxi lets you stop at viewpoints and go straight to your homestay or cottage in Dirang, Sangti or Dirang Dzong.
Most comfort and signature trips cover this leg in the same vehicle as the rest of the circuit, often with a stop at Bomdila Monastery before leaving town.

Dirang is lower, warmer and quieter, with riverside cottages and homestays. Bomdila is a busier town. For acclimatisation before Tawang, either works; we usually prefer two nights in Dirang.
