A private car makes this an easy day, with a lunch stop in Tinsukia or Margherita. Arrive in Miao by mid-afternoon to complete park formalities, then continue to Deban the next morning or the same evening if arranged.
Rail is not practical for this transfer, but travellers coming from elsewhere can reach Tinsukia or Margherita by train and continue by road to Miao.
