Rooms and villas are laid out in clusters across the 13-acre site so that each looks at the river or the hills.
The J Wellness Circle spa offers massages, yoga and meditation, and the resort can arrange rafting and evening visits to the aarti in Rishikesh. It is a 30 km drive from town, about an hour on the Badrinath road, and around 1.5 hours from Jolly Grant airport. Use it as the first and last nights of a Char Dham or Valley of Flowers journey, or for a slow stay in its own right.

Rishikesh
Rishikesh is the town at 340 m where the Ganga leaves the Himalaya, and the start of almost every Garhwal trip. Come for yoga, the evening aarti, rafting from mid-September to June, and the 5 am buses to the Char Dham. Stay two or three nights; October to April is most comfortable.

How far is Taj Rishikesh from Rishikesh town?
About 30 km upstream at Singthali, roughly an hour by road along the Badrinath highway. Jolly Grant airport is about 1.5 hours away. The resort arranges transfers.
Can I go rafting from Taj Rishikesh?
Yes. Rafting stretches such as Marine Drive and Shivpuri lie between the resort and Rishikesh, and the resort can arrange trips with licensed operators from mid-September to June. Check current status before you travel.
Is Taj Rishikesh good for a Char Dham journey?
Yes. It sits on the road towards Devprayag and the dhams, so it works as a comfortable first or last night, saving an hour of driving compared with staying in town.
